Stretch U provides partner assisted stretching and myofascial release to clients of all ages and abilities
THE CAREY STRETCH
The original 20 minute manual stretch using PNF stretching techniques to lengthen treated tissues to a new pain free range.
PNF stretching, or proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching, is a set of stretching techniques commonly used in clinical environments to enhance both active and passive range of motion in order to improve motor performance. PNF is considered an optimal stretching method when the aim is to increase range of motion.
THE LOCK & STRETCH
20 minute myofascial release, releasing specific tissues with the use of hands and a small foam roller.
Myofascial release (or MFR) is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. This process aims to relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulate the stretch reflex in muscles. This technique is most effective when followed by the Carey Stretch.
A personalized 40 or 60 minute stretch session that combines the Carey Stretch, the Lock and Stretch, and focuses on specific areas of concern.
